Intra-Workout / Carbs
Carb powders, amino drinks, electrolytes and fuel bars for during your session.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between carb drinks and electrolytes?
Carb drinks add carbohydrate for long sessions. Electrolyte drinks replace sodium and other salts with few or no calories. Some products, such as Endurance Fuel, do both.
How much should I drink during training?
Follow the mixing guide on each pack. RAW suggests about one scoop of Endurance Fuel every 60 minutes, up to five scoops.
Do intra-workout drinks contain caffeine?
Most do not, but some race-day sachets add caffeine. Check the ingredients on each product page.
Intra-workout carbs, aminos and electrolytes
This range covers everything you might drink or eat during a session: carb powders, amino drinks, electrolytes and fuel bars. Match it to how long and how hard you train.
Under an hour
For most gym sessions, an amino or electrolyte drink is enough. RAW Nutrition EAA Plus combines essential amino acids with sodium for about 5 kcal a scoop, and Hydroglyph by Ambrosia Collective pairs essential amino acids with sea salt for around 10 calories.
Long or hard sessions
Add carbohydrate. Gaspari SizeOn Max Performance combines trehalose, dextrose, whey protein hydrolysate, BCAAs and creatine in one 69 g scoop. RAW Nutrition Endurance Fuel gives 25 g of carbohydrate and 300 mg of sodium a scoop, at about one scoop an hour on long rides and runs.
Prefer to eat? The Cadence Core Fuel Bar has 40 g of carbohydrate with electrolytes.
Heavy sweaters
RAW Nutrition Endurance Replenish carries 1,000 mg of sodium a scoop for hot sessions and heavy sweat.
